Alice's Retreat is a private residence located approximately 7 miles from the South
Fork Visitor's Center and 24 miles from Wolf Creek Ski Area. This cabin
offers three bedrooms plus two full bathrooms. There is a
minimum 2-3 night stay most of the year with 3 to 7 nights required Dec 20 to
Jan 5 and Mar 7-21 (charged at a nightly rate). Alice's Retreat is set up to
accommodate up to 9 people comfortably.
Riverfront!
- If you want riverfront, this is
the property for you! The photo at the top left of this page is
looking from the deck to the river behind the home. It's a great
location just 7 miles from the South Fork Visitor's Center up Highway
149 (the road going from South Fork to Creede). There's great snowshoe
and cross country skiing nearby and Wolf Creek Ski Area is just 24
miles.
Bedroom One - There is one
bedroom located downstairs furnished with a king bed.
Second Bedroom -
Second bedroom is upstairs with an antique queen bed plus one single day
bed. This bedroom sleeps up to 3 people.
Third
Bedroom (Loft Bedroom) - The
third bedroom is a loft bedroom. The loft is furnished with a queen bed
and sleeps 2 people.
Sofa
Bed in Living Room - There is
capacity for two more guests with the double sofa bed located in the
living room./
Two
Bathrooms - Cabin has two
bathrooms. The downstairs bathroom has a tub and shower. Upstairs
bathroom has shower (no tub).
Amenities
- Telephone with
free local calls (credit card is required for long distance calls), WIFI,
satellite television, living room with wood burning Vermont Castings
woodstove, electric (thermal storage) heat. Deck with a gas grill. Fully equipped kitchen
including a double oven stove! The home is fully equipped with basic kitchenware.
We will stock the home at the
beginning of your stay with toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dish
cloths, dish towels, and linens. Guests are responsible to replenish
their own supplies if they run out during their stay.
Deck
- Deck has a gas grill and
overlooks the river! The gas grill has an initial supply of propane. Guests are
responsible to replace propane and clean the grill after each use.
Pet
Friendly - Alice's Retreat is pet friendly and
suitable for well behaved,
house broken, and non destructive pets only. We are only able to
accept friendly, well behaved, housebroken pets. A signed pet policy is
required along with a credit card guarantee. Pet fee is $5 per pet per
night. The pet
fee allows us to do a more thorough cleaning after a pet stay so our
accommodations are clean and fresh for every guest.
Cleaning
Fee - A cleaning fee of $70 is
charged for all stays.
All guests are required to sign our policies form at check in which
explains charges in the event of damage, property inventory, and fees
for excessive cleaning. We expect our guests to leave the home in good
condition on departure.
